Abstract
A 1000-word review essay for the quarterly photography journal Source: The Photographic Review. The essay considers participatory photography projects responding to Covid-19 conditions and resulting in photobooks. The three examples reviewed are Fleur van Dodeward, Left Hand, Right Hand (Torch Press, 2021); Carly, Darren, Joe, Andre, Craig and Kelly, Out of Home (Dan Barker & Lucy Ward, 2021); and Hold Still: A Portrait of our Nation in 2020 (National Portrait Gallery, 2021).
