Abstract
In his capacity as Co-Chair of the Royal Institute of British Architects Climate Action Expert Advisory Group, Baker-Brown was invited to represent RIBA at COP27 (Conference of Parties) in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. Baker-Brown attended three events at the United Nations Environment Programme’s Buildings Pavilion hosted by the Global Alliance of Buildings and Construction. Baker-Brown joined a panel exploring the type of ambition loops needed between businesses and governments to create a thriving and resilient buildings sector poised for a net zero economy. He was joined by Victoria Burrows, Director of Advancing Net Zero at the World Green Building Council, Bex Porter Built Environment Lead for UNFCCC Climate Champions Team, a Member of the European Parliament, and Lesley Mitchell, Associate Director, Forum for the Future.
