Abstract

This short article presents a small sample of oral testimonies from the research 'Made in Britain: Uncovering the life-histories of Black-British Champions in Cycling'. The author argues that the choking of the African-American George Floyd who was murdered by a white policeman in the USA is symbolic of champion Black-British cyclists past and present in their own career experiences of 'whiteness'.
