Biographical entries on Ernest Cole, Alfred Duggan-Cronin, David Goldblatt, Seydou Keïta, Peter Magubane, Malick Sidibé and Constance Stuart Larrabee. In: Dictionary of African biography.

Based on my expertise on African photography, I was commissioned to write seven entries for the print edition of the Dictionary of African Biography (DAB), five on South African photographers and two on West African photographers. DAB will be a major biographical resource in common with previous such biographical dictionaries published by Oxford University Press. It is intended to provide an authoritative reference work on Africa, with approximately 2000 entries in the print edition (and a subsequent online edition of 5000 entries). My essays make a significant contribution to the representation of African photographers within the collection.
