Abstract

PALFREY presents The Taciturn Moth, a solo exhibition by Benjamin Brett. Evoking frameworks of a narrative deprived of a protagonist, The Taciturn Moth is an installation that incorporates painting, sculpture and audio. The work poses a variety of placeholders to insinuate and investigate the presence of something that isn’t there, in a manner reminiscent of the ghost stories of M. R. James or plot devices characteristic of crime fiction.
