    Abstract

Advancing Research, Knowledge and Exchange impact opportunities for cycling communities and schools in Africa involves working in partnership with the Velokhaya Cycling Academy of South Africa. In this international collaboration we will work to create an arts and humanities based teacher training manual for education and learning that will be distributed across both countries in supporting and advancing the knowledge that has been generated and shared from our initial film based research findings. Young cyclists of Velokhaya will be commissioned as artists to support the design of the teacher training manual. This project speaks to many of the UNESCO Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and particularly SDG 3 – Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages; and SDG 4 - Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
