Kaysone Phomvihane proposes the development of a long-term comprehensive city transport masterplan. Kaysone Phomvihane has long sought to develop the public transport sector; it has been identified as one of the city’s top priorities to achieve sustainable urban development and better quality of life. The project proposed for Kaysone seeks to build on this priority in the development of a feasibility study for the design and management of the transport system. This City Diagnostic Report is an analytic document that summarises and assesses key aspects of Kaysone Phomvihane City, including its overarching development trends and detailed information on key sectors. It seeks to provide an overview of the characteristics and conditions (spatial, legal, financial) of Kaysone Phomvihane City, and thereby strengthen and complement the City Technical Proposal.
