Description
“Omics” technologies have the potential to significantly strengthen the currently used ABP approach and contribute to other traditional anti-doping tests.
This research aims to establish normal reference values for gene expression as well as assessing the potential effects of external factors on gene expression profiles such as training, altitude, sport discipline, level of competition, gender, ethnicity and age. These investigations are necessary before including the promising blood gene biomarkers in the ABP.
