Project Details

Description

The Scoping Knowledge Resilient Ecosystems for Artisanry Transformations project enables the development of a Horizon Europe bid to tackle the challenge of integrating traditional craftsmanship into contemporary cultural and creative practices within rural and urban environments to enhance the sustainability and resilience of communities.

Building on an existing collaboration between the University of Brighton and the University of Dundee, the project expands the partnership and scope of the objectives, methodologies, work plan and pathways to outcomes and impacts.

This seeks to develop a theoretical framework and digital innovations as well as to validate these via case studies across Europe, ensuring its short as well as long term impact. The project will impact the capacity of artisan communities, designers, cultural and creative industries, and heritage institutions across Europe, and beyond, to address socioeconomic challenges in their own terms.
