Project Details
Description
Delivering psychological therapy through virtual reality (VR) technology has the potential to help meet the needs of scalability and personalisation in treating mental ill-health. In this project, we are developing the 'IMPROVE platform' to comprise:
>A prototype for a low-cost mobile sensor-enabled VR headset to measure emotional responses in VR
>A secure software platform for deploying virtual reality environments and associated back-end visualisation dashboard
>Software development kits to enable the use of a range of sensors with existing VR mental health apps to enable personalisation of therapy.
>A collaborative environment for health professionals, service users and software developers to (i) create, (ii) deliver and (iii) evaluate VR therapies.
