Project Details

Description

Worthing-based social care charity Guild Care joined with the University of Brighton to develop capacity to innovate and grow. This Knowledge Transfer Partnership project aims to develop a monitoring and evaluation framework assessing the social impact of adult social care interventions to inform service design and engage donors to invest in new care approaches.

It brings together the econometric factors associated with measuring social impact and financial modelling of effective service delivery from the School of Business and Law; and School of Education, Sport and Health expertise including specialisms in co- creating services with people with diverse needs.

As a charity, Guild Care aims to reduce social isolation and social stigma. Over the last 90 years Guild Care’s community services and care homes have positively impacted thousands of vulnerable people requiring additional support in the local area.

Academics will work with the social care charity, to develop a new framework to assess the social impact of adult social care interventions, informing service design and to attract investment in new innovative approaches.

Alex Brooks-Johnson, CEO of Guild Care said “We are excited to partner with the University of Brighton on this key project to develop a new framework to measure outcomes and the impact of our work as a leading Social Care Charity.”
