Digital Skills in Arts and Humanities (DISKAH): Transforming Access to Digital Infrastructure and Skills

Project Details

Description

Digital Skills in Arts and Humanities (DISKAH) Transforming Access to Digital Infrastructure and Skills DISKAH addresses the digital skills gap within the Arts and Humanities research community by implementing a co-designed training program which will enhance engagement among the Arts and Humanities research community with UK Digital Research Infrastructures, such as High-Performance Computing.

The project includes a flagship partnership with the Centre of Excellence in Computationally Intensive Research (N8 CIR) and other community partners, including the UCL Centre for Advanced Research Computing, King’s Digital Lab, King’s College London, and the Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities (DARIAH)-European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC).

Ultimately, the project seeks to impact hundreds of arts and humanities researchers through planned activities, a train-the-trainer approach, and knowledge exchange events, ultimately fostering multidisciplinary innovation and challenging traditional assumptions about digital methods and computing resources. By fostering transparency, openness, collaboration, and inclusion, the project aims to achieve a significant and lasting impact on practices in the UK research community and beyond.
