Victor Ediagbonya has previously worked as a lecturer in law at the University of Essex before joining the University of Brighton Law School. While at the University of Essex, Victor taught several modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, such as Company Law, Banking Law and Criminal Law. He holds an LLB in Law and LLM from Birkbeck, University of London, an LLM in Law from BPP University London and a PhD in Law from the University of Essex. He is a barrister in England and Wales and a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
Victor's primary research interests are in comparative corporate governance, corporate social responsibility and financial regulation, with a particular focus on stakeholders and banking regulation in developing and emerging markets.
Victor has published several articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals, written chapters in edited book collections, and presented papers to varied conference audiences on issues centred on his research areas.
Victor is happy to receive doctoral proposals from prospective students interested in corporate governance, corporate social responsibility, company law, consumer protection, banking and financial regulation.
