Scholarly biography

Tennyson is enrolled in a PhD student position with Brighton & Sussex Medical School, in the field of haemato-oncology with the Pepper Lab. This follows his graduation from the University of Bath with a 1st class integrated Master's of Pharmacology degree.

Research interests

Tennyson is investigating the therapeutic potential of NF-κB Inducing Kinase (NIK) inhibition in Multiple Myeloma (MM) for his PhD project. Despite being established as a key player in MM pathogenesis, the research into NIK has been lacking. The aim will be to demonstrate how abarrent NIK activity aids MM proliferation, survival, and drug resistance in both MM cells themselves and the surrounding bone marrow microenvironment.
