Research interests
My doctoral study concerns the management of successful PVI day nurseries in England. My research aims to identify the similarities and differences between the operational characteristics of PVI day nurseries, and to create a conceptual model that can help owners and managers reflect on their provision. I will be adopting a comparative case study approach, using a combination of data collection methods. My research is informed by a constructivist epistemology and a critical realist theoretical framework, which acknowledge the co-construction of meaning and the stratification of reality.
