Research interests

My doctoral study concerns the ownership and management of single site / small group PVI day nurseries in England. My research aims to identify the similarities and differences between the operational characteristics of successful PVI day nurseries, and to develop a supportive tool to help owners and managers reflect on their role and responsibility. I will be adopting a comparative case study approach, using a combination of data collection methods. My research is informed by a constructivist epistemology and has a strong reflexive element drawing on my own professional experience to co-construct meaning with my participants.
