Personal profile
Research interests
My research interests are two-fold, I have a keen interest in future sustainable fuels and societal needs in the transport sector, coupled with research into low emissions, efficient combustion systems. Current projects include 'PaREGEN' which aims to develop ultra clean and efficient lean gasoline engines, projests to investigate the impact of hydrogen injection into the gas grid with Cadent Gas (https://cadentgas.com/home), and work with the Energy Systems Catapult and the Advanced Propulsion Centre to improve ESME energy systems modelling of heavy duty transport.
Supervisory Interests
My supervisory interests encompass the role of transport in the wider energy system and the technology needed to acheive this. Current PhD students are researching carbon negative fuels and modelling techniques to characterise the behaviour of new fuels in future powertrains.
