Scholarly biography

Md Rifad Chowdhury joined the School of Business and Law at the University of Brighton in November 2023 as a Lecturer in Management. His journey at the University of Brighton began in 2022 when he worked as a part-time Lecturer. During this time, he imparted knowledge in Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour. Md Rifad's dedication to his profession is evident through his commitment to professional development. He has been awarded the Associate Fellowship of Advance HE (AFHEA) through the University of Brighton Professional Recognition and Development Scheme.

In addition to teaching responsibilities, Md Rifad is a Scientific Committee Member of the World Conference on Qualitative Research and has presented his research at several international conferences. Prior to his PhD at the University of Brighton, he obtained an MSc in International Business Management from Northumbria University, Newcastle, and a BSc in Human Resource Management from Anglia Ruskin University, London.

Md Rifad has supervised numerous MSc Management research projects. His PhD supervisory research interests are centred around HRM and OB, explicitly focusing on talent management, work motivation, decolonising organisational knowledge, and leadership.
