Personal profile

Research interests

Having worked in widening participation outreach in both further education and higher education, I have a keen interest in widening access to HE policy as well as student voice and student engagement. I have delivered talks, activities and mentoring programmes in schools and colleges and have worked with academic staff and student ambassadors across the university to develop subject taster activities.

I recently joined the Learning and Teaching Hub as a Lecturer and support students working as Inclusive Practice Partners (IPPs) and am the learning and teaching partner for the School of Art and Media. I also co-ordinate the staff race awareness speaker series. I am keen to further my research on transition pedagogies and student experience.  I have presented at the National Education Opportunities Network (NEON) and retain close links to the widening participation outreach team and have co-produced a toolkit on developing academic excellence taster activities for college students.
