Personal profile
Research interests
My research looks at the ways in which conflict-related stories have been passed down within families in Northern Ireland. Through an oral history project in which I interview members of the 'ceasefire generation', I am examining the themes and narrative patterns found in intergenerational family stories, as well as exploring the dynamics and hierarchies associated with such storytelling.
More broadly, my scholarly interests incude folklore, histories of violence and conflict, and ethical oral history practice.
