Personal profile

Research interests

I question design through design-led research opportunities to uncover the differences within chronic pain lived experiences. To push against the edges of perception and invisibility of women living with chronic pain.

Through collaboration with community partners, my research explores the boundaries and disparities of care through immersive practice. This may be explored through conversations, technology such as VR simulations and neurotechnology, and nature; the immersion may be as varied and different as the lived experiences themselves.

Approach to teaching

I advocate for students to find their voice and develop their own way of learning and lean into these skills. I seek to support students to explore critical design-led research, to enrich their knowledge and know-how.

I support students to engage with complexity and the unknowns through critical questioning. To be thinkers and engage in conversations across disciplines, communities, and lived experiences.
