Supervisory Interests

I am interested in supervising project that concern the effectiveness of heath communications and theory-based interventions to promote health-enhancing behaviour and well-being. For example, those that focus on using exploring whether psychological interventions, such as self-affirmation, can be used to encourage people to engage in behaviours which benefit their health, different ways of presenting health information, processing of health information, and message framing. Second, I am interested in supervising projects on how we can use psychological interventions to reduce inequalities in educational settings. I am also interested in supervising projects that are exploring the application of psychological theory to how we feel about our homes and residential spaces.
