Scholarly biography
Dr Eleftherios Zenerian studied political and social sciences at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece (BA, MSc), and the University of Sussex, UK (MSc, PhD). He co-designed and convened the BA (Hons) Music Business and Media between 2019-2023. He still convenes and delivers most of the core modules for this course, alongside modules from courses such as BA (Hons) Media Studies and BA (Hons) Creative Industries. His teaching focuses on areas such as popular music cultures and histories, the music industries, innovation studies, and media theory. His research interests include popular music cultures, social and cultural theory, and creative labour. Prior to this role he taught sociology, politics and media and cultural studies in the University of Sussex and the University of Portsmouth.
