Research interests
My PhD research investigates bureaucratic artefacts including passports, identity cards and medical documentation through the lens of anti-portraiture, a genre that challenges conventional forms of representation. I am particularly interested in how these objects function simultaneously as institutional records and deeply personal artefacts, revealing the tensions between identity, citizenship, memory and systems of classification. Combining an enduring interest with archives with a background in visual storytelling, my practice employs experimental photographic processes and emerging technologies to explore the material and political dimensions of bureaucratic images.
