Personal profile

Research interests

My research focuses on two main areas: energy efficiency at both building and urban scales, and infrastructure and urban generation within informal contexts. I am particularly interested in exploring the intersection of technical and humanistic methods. During my doctoral research, I applied this interest to develop urban upgrade strategies for refugee settlements. Drawing from my combined educational and industrial experiences in engineering and architectural design, I have had the privilege of working as a consultant for international architectural practices and serving as an architectural engineer. Currently, my role as a lecturer in Architectural Technologies at the University of Brighton allows me to further explore and contribute to these research interests.
