My current research aims to contribute to organisational change theory and practice through empirical study of arm’s length government organisations, and how they deliver change. 

The study will attempt to do this by:

• Identifying leadership actors, and how they construct organisational change in arm’s length government organisations. 
• Gaining insight into the impact of change agency in regulated arm’s length government organisations and the ecosystem contexts in which they operate.
• Evaluating change methodologies and their framing in organisational design, their influence and how they construct organisational change delivery.
• Examining the impact and influence of consultants in arm’s length government organisations, how they influence the shaping of organisational design. 
• Identifying the value and influence of followers in the delivery of organisational change, their contributions and the alignment to constructed change agency.

Research Questions

How is organisational change constructed and delivered in regulated arm’s length government organisations? 

1. What evidence is there of change leadership and organisational change in arm’s length government organisations and what impact has it had? 
2. What is the impact of government departments and regulation on change leadership and organisational change in arm’s length government organisations?
3. What methodologies to change have been applied in arm’s length government organisations? How have they been applied and what has the impact been on organisational change?
4. What innovation has been adopted within arm’s length government organisations and how successful has it been? 
5. What learning can be gleaned to validate or add to current theories?
