Research interests

Charles Barrow joined the University of Brighton in 2010 from London Metropolitan University where he had been module leader for the Law of Tort and Employment Law and LLB Course Director. He also led the postgraduate LLM course and taught on the Labour Law and Human Rights module. Previously he had taught at a number of institutions including SOAS, University of London and the University of Surrey. Charles has published 5 books on employment law - the latest being Modern Employment Law, published by Routledge in 2018. His current research interests concern the regulation of trade unions, industrial conflict and Article 11 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
