My research interests include: SMEs, Financial Management, Working Capital Management, Trade Credit Management, Financing of SMEs 

Approach to teaching

I am a dedicated academic with over 25 years’ experience of leading and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate modules within the accounting, economics and finance subject group. I have taught across the disciplines within the subject group but more recently have focused upon corporate finance. I am currently the course leader for BSc (Hons) Finance and Investment and also support students in my role as a personal academic tutor. I have recently been part of the successful periodic review team for our accounting, economics and finance portfolio and I sit on the University committee for the appointment of external examiners. I deliver the finance and accounting module on the Help to Grow management course and am part of the academic team supporting a Knowledge Transfer Partnership investigating social return on investment. I am an active Phd supervisor with four current Phd students and an experienced internal and external Phd examiner.
