Research interests

My research area is in the field of health psychology. I am fascinated by the impact of psychological and behavioural factors on wellbeing, illness and health-related behavioural change. My research interests include exploring interventions and theories that can help promote/understand healthy behavioural changes. The main focus of my research is on how to improve effectiveness of health promotion campaigns with the use of self-affirmation theory.

Since joining the University of Brighton I have taught modules on the following topics:
