Scholarly biography

Bayode is a senior lecturer in data science and analytics at the University of Brighton. He teaches data science and analytics related modules in computing and mathematics subject group. Prior to joining the University of Brighton, he was a lecturer in data analytics at Sheffield Hallam University. Bayode is a peer reviewer for several computer science, data science and AI journals including Information Processing and Management (IPM). 

Bayode is a fellow of the Royal Statistical Society (RSS) and also a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Bayode gained his PhD in data science, MSc in big data analytics and PG certificate in academic practice at Sheffield Hallam University. 

Research interests

Bayode is interested in natural language processing and statistical learning applications. He is particularly interested in the development of algorithms and models for information retrieval, sentiment analysis, topic modelling, text summarisation,  and language processing to detect cyberbullying and other forms of online abuse. 

Supervisory Interests

Bayode is interested in supervising research projects in the areas of natural language processing, statistical learning application, text data mining, and information retrieval.
