Personal profile

Research interests

My research interest builds on a strong clinical foundation in trauma, emergency, and critical care nursing. I focus on innovations in healthcare leadership that improve patient care and outcomes, and I am particularly interested in educational strategies such as simulation-based learning to strengthen clinical decision-making and professional development.

Supervisory Interests

I am currently supervising an MRes student, supporting their development as an independent researcher.

Approach to teaching

I employ a learner-centered approach that emphasises active engagement and problem-based learning to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and research skills. I also integrate digital technologies and simulation-based methods to enrich learning and strengthen the application of theoretical knowledge in real-world practice.

Current role: I lead a Level 4 module on Practice Learning for Nursing Year 1 across all fields, fostering the integration of theoretical knowledge with clinical application. In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I provide both pastoral and academic support as a Personal Academic Tutor and Academic Assessor.
