Research interests

My main interests lie within applied linguistics/ psycholinguistics, namely in bilingualism and language acquisition, as well political discourse and education policy. 

My current PhD project examines emotional processing in bilinguals with a particular focus on pragmatics of persuasion and approached with Relevance Theory as general theory of cognition.

- speaker at the XVII International Symposium of Psycholinguistics 2025, Barcelona.

- speaker at the 12th European Conference on Language Learning, July 2024, UCL (London);

- speaker at University of Oxford STORIES conference, March 2024; 

- in December 2023, organised and held a conference for MSc Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition 2023 cohort. The conference was supported by Department of Education, University of Oxford, and was actively promoted gaining 120+ sign-ups and 50+ online conference participants. Talks covered the pragmatics of persuasion, typefaces for neurodivergent individuals, scripts in phonetic processing of L2 Japanese, AI and human writing, and songs in early years L2 learning;
