Research interests
I am investigating the effect of stress hormones in Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia (CLL). CLL is a slow-progressing blood cancer, and often, patients do not require treatment upon diagnosis. I am interested in the stress experienced by these patients during this 'watch and wait' period, and how it impacts their disease. I will be using both qualitative and quantitative methods to assess stress levels in 'watch and wait' versus 'active treatment' patients, as well as analysing patient's CLL cells in the lab, and how they respond to stress hormones.
