Personal profile
Research interests
My research interests include, employee ownership, organisational form and development, non-managerial ways of working, social entrepreneurship and alternative organizations. My sector interests also include health and social care.
I recently joined the Business School from the NHS where I led a number of local West Sussex programmes and strategies, including community services, young people’s mental health and joint work with local authorities. I have recently worked at The Universities of Sussex and Warwick on research and teaching and also worked in the private and third/charity/social enterprise sector over the past 25 years.
Till July 2022, I will be part of a collaborative research programme on the financial impact on COVID on older people's care homes in the UK. My PhD focused on employee-ownership within health and social care.
I also work as a volunteer mentor with local start up charities and social organizations in Sussex as well as sports coaching.
Supervisory Interests
I am interested in supporting post-grdaute students in the fields of public sector management, the impact of the Future of Work on employees, employee relations and engagement, employee-ownership/cooperatives and alternative organisational forms.
