Personal profile

Research interests

My area of research interest is related to metrology, machine design, automation, and robotics. I have played a key role in the in-house design, development, fabrication, and performance evaluation of various high-pressure equipment. Actively engaged in research and developmental work in mechanical system design and metrology, I have made significant contributions through structural analysis using Ansys and SolidWorks. I have contributed towards the development of quality infrastructure. This pertains to the combined public and private institutional structure governing metrology, standardization, accreditation, and services related to conformity assessment, including testing, calibration, inspection, and verification. My contributions to the scientific foundation of quality infrastructure are relevant to both theory and practice. Furthermore, my research on quality infrastructure provides a distinctive perspective from India and the Global South in the international discourse.

I have published more then 50 research papers in various leading peer-reviewed journal, including Nature Physics, Measurement, Review of Scientific Instruments, Journal of Engineering Manufacture, Flow Measurement and Instrumentation, Mapan, JSIR, IJPAP, etc.

Currently, my focus is on robotics, the advancement of metrology and additive manufacturing, and integrating AI tools into the research.

Supervisory Interests

My supervisory interests encompass topics in metrology, mechanical system design, robotics, advanced manufacturing processes, automation and artificial intelligence. I am particularly intrigued by additive manufacturing research, the study of material properties, and the influences of external stimuli on structural integrity. These are areas that I am eager to further explore.
