Organisation profile

The mission of Digital Innovation and Transformation (DIT) is to pioneer insightful research on digital technologies, and their transformative impacts on business and society. We explore diverse areas like artificial intelligence, data analytics, digital marketing, financial technology, human-computer interaction, and the digital economy.
DIT fosters an environment of intellectual curiosity, excellence, and teamwork, aiming to bring together academics, researchers, and industry specialists. Collectively, DIT works to identify best practices and develop innovative strategies for responsible and sustainable digital transformation. We explore the impact of emerging digital technologies across three key areas:
Digital Transformation: Studies how digitalization affects people, society, and sustainability and analyses AI/ML adoption, focusing on policy and new challenges. Research areas include online collaborative innovation, digital platforms, disruptive technologies, and digital inclusion.
Marketing Technology: Explores innovative marketing technologies (VR/AR, metaverse, AI) and investigates ethical considerations in marketing and human-computer interaction. Research focuses on changing consumer behaviour, online communities, and responsible marketing strategies using advanced analytics.
Digital Finance: Analyses the impact of financial technologies (fintech) on the financial sector and its stakeholders and explores how technologies like blockchain and AI reshape business models and impact various sustainability, performance, literacy and inclusion.
