Where to Publish Your Research: Understanding Journal Level Metrics (Part 2)

Second part workshop delivered at the School ATE research seminar.

This is the second part of the session that was originally held on the 22nd of January. In this workshop, Barbara will introduce the two primary abstract and citation databases: Web of Science and Scopus, along with their respective journal indexing methods and tools, Journal Citation Reports (JCR) and Scopus Sources. She will also show the Scimago Journal & Country Rank website, a free resource that utilises Scopus data to provide a prestige metric indicative of journal reputation (SJR). This information can be instrumental in evaluating a journal's standing in relation to its peers. Additionally, we will explore the main journal-level metrics, including Journal Impact Factor, CiteScore, and SJR.

Please bring your laptop for this second hands-on part of this seminar.
