Description

Urbal is an international research project using participatory research in eight cities to develop and test a holistic methodology to map the impact pathways that go from urban innovations to all dimension of sustainability of food systems.
More than 35 researchers from various discipline (geography, sociology, economy, nutritionism, agronomy, environmental science, management and marketing science, logistics, planning) coming from 9 different countries are directly involved in the Urbal project.
Invited as expert advisor by the Technical University of Berlin, Katrin supported the project’s researchers in assessing innovations within the Berlin food system on the one hand and a research method to determine innovation potential in urban food projects on the other.
