With my colleague, dress historian Dr. Suzanne Rowland, I co-organised an online symposium on the theme of 'Thinking Through Making', funded by my PhD funders Techne. Invited speakers included curators, costumers, artists and research students who have engaged with making or remaking the dress of the past as a research methodology. Speakers included Caroline Evans and Alisdair O' Neill of the Exploding Fashion Project (CSM), dress historian and archaeologist Prof. Hilary Davison (F.I.T) visual artist Sarah Casey (University of Lancaster) and PhD students (Including myself, giving short 10-15 presentations on work in progress.)
