This talk was given as part of Headstone Manor and Museum's monthly Tuesday Talk series.
In 1985 the Kodak Museum moved from Kodak in Harrow to the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television in Bradford, taking up residence in a converted carpark-turned-museum wing. Taking a different approach to photography in the museum, the new Kodak Museum focused on the story of popular photography, drawing on fifty-seven years of collecting by Kodak Museum curators at Harrow. This talk will explore the scope of the Kodak Collection, focus on some of the more unusual objects, and consider the important role of the Kodak Collection at the National Science and Media Museum (formerly known as the NMPFT), in representing photographic history.
