Description
In recent years, the Black Lives Matter movement and issues of racial injustice have gathered widespread attention in Britain, the debate around diversity in the national curriculum has been firmly back on the agenda for the education sector. The need for social justice in education is hugely important to us at Teach First. This stretch huddle symposium will provide trainee-teachers with ideas on how to adapt and improve curricula, highlighting areas which might be perceived to be selective and biased in their representation of history, culture, heritage and world view, and thereby reinforce racial stereotypes.Period | 14 Jun 2022 |
