There is a concern over the presence of estrogenic hormones in fresh water and marine ecosystems at the risk to aquatic organisms. This study aims to investigate the bioaccumulation of estrogen in mussel gonad, after a laboratory exposure to estradiol and sporopollenin embedded estradiol.
