Description
Coastal environment is a mosaic of biodiverse habitats, including sandy lagoons, saltmarshes, seagrass meadows and rocky shores; a significant proportion of it is in poor condition, affected by numerous anthropogenic factors. End of life boats and associated mooring are newly emerged stressors, able to impact the habitats, by scouring and releasing pollutants. Our research shows the disturbing interaction of glass reinforced plastic with coastal wildlife and the potential implications for the aquatic species.
