60 Minute Presentation with slideshow for members of the Southern Counties Costume Society's study day 'Re-Dress: Recyle, Remake, Reuse' on the theme of recycling and sustainability in fashion. My paper used material from my PhD research using a case study of remaking a wartime hat from 1940s magazine Picture Post, raising themes making and remaking as historic practices, of creativity under pressure and the politics and performance of thrift and patriotism.
