Dr Jade Halbert and Dr Veronica Isaac are working together to organise Constructing Costume Histories, a research project which showcases the crucial contribution of costume makers to the history and ‘histories’ of costume and dress.
Our inaugural event on Friday 30th April 2021 was a free-to-attend online symposium and was attended by over 150 participants from across the world. This was followed by an in-person study day at the University of Huddersfield in September 2021. (Supported by funding from the Society for Theatre Research and the Pasold Research Fund).
