Modern South America presents 15 essays from authors based in Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Italy, United Kingdom and Uruguay. Each of the book chapters contributes to the analysis in which the modernisation process was implemented in Southern America, underlining the differences and particularities with respect to the modernisation processes from the northern hemisphere.
