Description
About the EventThe aim of this event is to showcase creative ethnographic methods and representations, and challenge our own ways of communicating knowledge accessibly to wider publics. Embedding ourselves as researchers within a specific social setting is at the heart of ethnographic research. But what other ways are there to explore social phenomena? Which senses can we use to develop a deeper understanding of the dynamics and complexities of social life? How can we communicate our research using multi-sensory, visual and auditory aspects, thus opening our research to a wider and more diverse audience?
Post-Graduate Student presentations will follow a Creative Writing Workshop (Dr. Jessica Moriarty and Veneta Neale, University of Brighton) and Keynote address.
